The summons comes after BT last week brought new details in the matter.
Tonight at 8 p.m., the parliamentary party leaders have been summoned to a meeting at the Ministry of Defence. Acting Minister of Defence, Troels Lund Poulsen (V), has called the meeting.
It shows an invitation that DR is in possession of.
The summons comes in connection with the fact that last week BT brought new information in the so-called SMS case.
Here, the media reported that the Defense Intelligence Service (FE) was never asked to investigate whether it was possible to find the SMS messages that were deleted by top people in the Prime Minister's Office in 2020 in data from the service's monitoring of the state Wi-Fi network.
This shows internal notes from FE, which BT has been given access to.
- I would like to invite the parties of the Folketing to a briefing on the current SMS case, where together with the head of the Defense Intelligence Service I will give a status, writes Troels Lund Poulsen in the invitation.
- In the same connection, I would like to inform you about a setup error that the Center for Cyber Security has become aware of in connection with the investigation of the case. It must be emphasized that the setup error did not affect the ability to access the content of iMessages in the current case, writes the Minister of Defence.

Internal notes
According to BT, internal memos sent from FE to the Ministry of Defense show that FE had not been requested to investigate the possibilities of recreating the messages in data from the intelligence service's monitoring of the state Wi-Fi network.
But that information was omitted in a written response to the Danish Parliament's Legal Committee, even though the note from FE was written to answer a question from the politicians in the committee.
In addition, BT writes that FE never really had the legal authority to do the experiment. The spy service made the ministry aware of this in three different notes, reports the media.
Culling of all mink in Denmark
The story of the deleted text messages became part of the mink case, where all mink in Denmark were euthanized in connection with the corona pandemic.
Later it emerged that, among others, Mette Frederiksen, head of department Barbara Bertelsen and chief of staff in the Prime Minister's Office Martin Justesen had continuously deleted text messages between each other.
Therefore, it was not immediately possible to clarify how they had communicated about the killing of mink.
The message deletion took place from April 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020.
BT's new information has caused the Liberal Alliance, the Conservatives and the Danish Democrats to call both the Minister of Justice and the Minister of Defense into consultation.
- There is something here that screams to the sky. And I think it's interesting to find out why things have happened the way they are, said De Konservatives chairman Søren Pape Poulsen to DR last week.
The party also wants to table a motion for resolution in the Folketing , which will ensure that FE gets legal authority to recreate the deleted text messages.
- We are making a proposal in the Folketing , which must be dealt with very quickly, so that we can investigate and be given legal authority for FE and the center for cyber security to investigate the text messages, said Pape Poulsen.
